Renowned National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicator, Hameed Kwesi Williams, has filed to contest the party’s Constituency Chairmanship position in the Effia Constituency.
Mr. Williams says his decision to enter the race is driven by his desire to strengthen the party at the grassroots and help reclaim the Effia parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to him, his political journey has been rooted in grassroots activism, having worked through the ranks of the NDC over the years.
He believes his experience and understanding of the constituency will enable him to provide effective leadership and mobilise the party ahead of future elections.
“I am a grassroots person who has worked hard and risen through the ranks of the party. My interest is to help salvage the Effia seat from the NPP to the NDC, and that is why I have joined the race,” he said.
Mr. Williams is expected to campaign on a platform focused on strengthening grassroots structures, improving party organisation and mobilising members to work towards the NDC’s electoral objectives in the constituency.
