NDC Western Region Congratulates Buah, Blay Armah Nyameke on Call to Bar

The Western Regional Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have congratulated the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, and his Sekondi counterpart, Blay Armah Nyameke, on their Call to the Ghana Bar.

In a congratulatory statement signed by the party’s Western Regional Chairman, Nana Kojo Toku, the regional executives described the achievement as a remarkable milestone, commending the two legislators for combining the demands of legal education with their responsibilities in public office.

The statement, issued on behalf of the Regional Executive Committee and the party’s membership in the Western Region, said the achievement demonstrated the importance of determination, discipline and perseverance in pursuing academic and professional excellence.

“Balancing the rigours of legal education with the demanding responsibilities of parliamentary service—and, in the case of Hon. Armah-Kofi Buah, the additional duties of a Cabinet Minister—requires exceptional discipline, sacrifice, commitment and resilience,” the statement said.

Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah serves as Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, while Hon. Blay Armah Nyameke represents the Sekondi Constituency in Parliament.

The NDC executives said the two legislators had made the Western Region and the party proud, noting that their achievement would inspire young people to pursue further education and professional development while contributing to national development.

“Beyond adding to your personal and professional accomplishments, you have become an inspiration to young people across the Region and beyond, demonstrating that the pursuit of knowledge and professional advancement need not be limited by the demands of public service,” the statement added.

The party further expressed confidence that the two newly qualified lawyers would bring their experience in governance and public service to bear on their legal careers, particularly in advancing justice, accountability and good governance.

It said the legal profession had gained two public servants whose understanding of governance and the challenges facing ordinary Ghanaians could contribute meaningfully to the administration of justice.

The regional executives urged the two legislators to use their legal expertise to support the development of the Western Region and Ghana as a whole.

“Once again, congratulations, Honourable Lawyers! May this achievement mark the beginning of even greater accomplishments in your service to our party, our Region and our beloved nation,” the statement concluded.
