The Dean of Discipline at the Takoradi Technical Institute, Christopher Okrah, has assured parents and guardians that discipline has been restored at the school.

According to him, the school has undergone significant changes under its new management, with renewed emphasis on discipline, academic excellence, and students’ overall development.
Speaking exclusively to Almighty FM, Mr Okrah acknowledged that the school previously faced challenges with acts of indiscipline, which, he said, negatively affected its reputation.
He noted that the situation was further compounded by what he described as a negative perception among some Ghanaians about technical schools.
“In the past, we had some issues with indiscipline, and that gave the school a bad name. It also added to the perception people already have about technical schools,” he said.
Mr Okrah, however, said the situation has changed significantly following the assumption of office by the new management.
He explained that the school has intensified efforts to promote discipline among students while creating an environment conducive to teaching, learning and skills development.
“With the new management, things have changed. We are focused on discipline and excellence, and parents can rest assured that their children are in a school where discipline is taken seriously,” he added.
He urged parents and guardians to continue working closely with the school to ensure that students adhere to the institution’s rules and regulations.
Mr Okrah further stressed that maintaining discipline is a shared responsibility between school authorities, parents and students, and called for continued cooperation to sustain the progress made.
