Nuno Espirito Santo following a difficult spell for the Portuguese manager.

Nottingham Forest are set for a major managerial change, with Ange Postecoglou in line to replace Nuno Espirito Santo at Nottingham Forest, according to multiple reports.

Spurs endured a disastrous 2024/25 Premier League campaign under Postecoglou, losing 22 of their 38 league matches and finishing 17th with just 38 points – their worst ever top-flight finish. They also conceded 65 goals, with only Wolves and the relegated trio of Leicester, Ipswich, and Southampton conceding more.

However, Postecoglou still managed to deliver silverware, leading Tottenham to a historic 1-0 Europa League final victory over Manchester United – the club’s first major trophy in 17 years. The win secured Champions League football, making him only the third manager to guide Spurs to a European title.

Despite this achievement, Postecoglou was sacked just 16 days later, with Spurs appointing Thomas Frank as his replacement. The club acknowledged him for delivering “one of the greatest moments” in their history.

Now, attention has shifted to Nottingham Forest, who see the experienced Australian coach as a strong candidate to succeed Nuno Espirito Santo. Postecoglou’s attacking style, resilience despite injuries, and proven ability to win trophies make him a compelling choice.

Forest fans will be watching closely as talks progress, with the potential appointment marking a bold step in the club’s ambitions to solidify their Premier League status.
