Ofoase-Ayirebi MP, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has urged members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), especially former executives, to recognize Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s role in broadening the party’s decision-making process and to reward him with their support.
Speaking at a party gathering, Mr. Oppong Nkrumah said he was encouraged to see many senior figures and former executives actively participating in meetings they previously would not have attended under the old constitution.
He explained that the inclusiveness was the result of deliberate reforms initiated through nationwide consultations and constitutional reviews.
“One of the key reforms we introduced was to give you the privilege to cast your vote and continue contributing even after leaving office. We made provisions to include former executives in decision-making,” he said.
According to him, these reforms—championed with the support of Dr. Bawumia—strengthened the party by ensuring continuity, inclusivity, and broader representation.
He concluded by calling on party members to “acknowledge these changes and show appreciation by supporting Dr. Bawumia at the polls.”
