<p data-start="852" data-end="1014"><strong><em>“In September, the new batch of first-year students who will be enrolled, money is ready to be reimbursed for their academic fees,” he announced to loud applause.</em></strong></p>
<p data-start="1016" data-end="1612">This policy is part of the government’s flagship <span style="color: #000000;"><strong data-start="1065" data-end="1182"><a class="cursor-pointer" style="color: #000000;" target="_new" rel="noopener" data-start="1067" data-end="1180">‘No Fees Stress’ policy</a></strong></span> — a strategic, equity-based intervention aimed at dismantling <strong data-start="1245" data-end="1289">financial barriers to tertiary education</strong>. <p data-start="1614" data-end="1964">Further strengthening his commitment to the education sector, the President disclosed that the government had <strong data-start="1724" data-end="1767">cleared six months of unpaid allowances</strong> owed to students in <span style="color: #000000;"><strong data-start="1788" data-end="1963"><a class="cursor-pointer" style="color: #000000;" target="_new" rel="noopener" data-start="1790" data-end="1961">nursing and teacher training colleges</a></strong></span>.</p>
<p data-start="1968" data-end="2167"><em><strong>“We have also paid six months’ arrears of allowances for students at the nursing and teacher training colleges,” he affirmed, adding, “We promise that they will receive their allowances every month.”</strong></em></p>
<p data-start="2169" data-end="2332">This announcement marks a significant step toward reducing educational inequality and bolstering support for young learners and trainee professionals across Ghana.</p>
