Feyenoord have tabled an €18 million (£15.6m) bid for Sheffield United’s defender Anel Ahmedhodzic, aiming to replace David Hancko, who joined Atletico Madrid in July. The 26-year-old Bosnian international, with 114 appearances since joining the Blades from Malmo FF in 2022, was previously targeted by Wolves last summer, per Sky Sports.
Ahmedhodzic, who played for Nottingham Forest, Hobro IK, and Bordeaux before Sheffield United, remained with the club despite their play-off final loss to Sunderland in 2024. Feyenoord, third in the Eredivisie last season, face Fenerbahce in Champions League qualifying on August 6, while Sheffield United, under new manager Ruben Selles, open their Championship campaign against Bristol City on August 9.
The Ahmedhodzic transfer bid signals Feyenoord’s ambition to bolster their defense. Stay updated on this potential move and its impact on both clubs!
