More than 90 students have so far benefitted from Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s long-running educational sponsorship initiative.
Last week, 63 current beneficiaries, all students of Achimota School, paid a farewell visit to the Abetifi MP as they prepared to begin a new academic year.
Welcoming them, Dr. Acheampong encouraged the students to remain disciplined, focused, and hardworking in their studies. He reminded them that education is not just a tool for personal growth, but also a responsibility to their families and the nation.
Sharing his personal journey, he recalled his early education at Achimota Primary and later at PRESEC, institutions he credited for shaping his future. Today, he stands as a Presidential Aspirant, driven by the same values he urged the students to uphold.
“Opportunity is the most powerful gift I can give,” he said. “But it is your determination that makes the difference.”
Currently, 25 beneficiaries of the programme have completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and are awaiting results, while 63 others continue their studies, including 16 new entrants this semester.
The initiative fully covers tuition, boarding, food, and provisions, supporting students consistently from primary through senior high school.
Over the past five years, the programme has become one of the most consistent private sponsorship efforts in Ghana, widely seen as a reflection of Dr. Acheampong’s broader vision of rebuilding communities through investment in children.
