Before presenting the 2026 Budget, Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson visited traders at the Market Circle in Takoradi as part of his outreach to the community.
Dr. Forson described his time with the traders as the best part of his trip to the Western Region, highlighting that their discussions were both touching and motivating.
He noted, “It was clear that our efforts to improve the economy are starting to show results.” Many traders mentioned that prices were going down, they felt more confident, and they sensed that things were finally improving for them.
This visit is part of the government’s larger goal to make sure that the 2026 Budget reflects the needs and hopes of everyday Ghanaians.
The Finance Minister is set to present the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy to Parliament on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
